Erika heard someone move nearby. 'Hallo?' She called. A cat came out before her. 'What?' The cat asked. 'Um...I was wondering if you knew where the seal of Caelin is?'

Ariela saw the girl. 'How am I supposed to know where it is?' She said to her haughtily. The girl looked taken aback. 'Oh sorry...' The young woman said, and walked in the direction Ariela had come.

Kar's hawk eyes flashed as something headed in his direction. He drew in his magnificent wings, pulling them close to his spin he looked round once more. Watching as a girl appeared. Not Ariela, no... someone... differnet.

Erika stared at the man in front of her. 'I thought this forest was deserted' She told him.

Ariela sat in a tree. She could hear the young woman speaking. She had obviously met Kar. Ariela closed her eyes and listened harder.

Kar shrugged, "You where mistaken." was all he said and closed his eyes, welcomign the tender darkness. It would be so easy to let go, all this hurt and mistrust. Everything could be over in the blink of an eye. But could he do it? would he have the strength to stand while he knew death was coming? No. No he wasn't suisidal. "You name is?" He asked once more concentrating on the human before him.

'Erika. Heir to Caelin. And you?' Erika asked him. She turned her head around. She had sworn she had heard someone, or something.

"Good, yes i have atually come across your name before. Though it could have been some time ago.... maybe your birth?" he shrugged helplessy and coughed when he realised his mistake, way to go Kar, he thought bitterly, blow the cover, "Why are you in this forest might I ask milady?"

'Oh. How could you? My birth was a secret...And anyway...that was seventeen years ago how could you?' Erika asked him suspiciously.

"I..." he cut off with a nervous cough, "A what the heck. I'm older than i look, put it that way." He smiled a crooked smile and raised his hand behind his head, massaging his aching neck muscles. "I don't know you but.. well im not exactly trying to stay hidden. Wanna see something cool?"

Erika nodded. 'But I still do not know your name...' She prompted.

Ariela listened to the two. She was quite a lot calmer now, and wanted to apologize to Kar, but something held her back.

Kar shrugs and yawns soundlessly. "I do not wish to give that information ma'am," he says and grins, ear from ear. "Alright then," he loosly unravels a feathered wing, just one, so that she can get the impression of what he is about to show her.

Erika smiled. 'No way!' She told him.

Ariela listened hard. But the only thing she could hear was her own breathing. This can't be right. I could hear them a minute ago...Jelousy raged in her. Why could Kar do this? What made the young woman better than herself?

"Way," he replied with a grin and outstretched his 13 foot wingspan. They curled in at the edges, giving him enough space ot move and they shuddered as they stretched. They quivered with excitment and Kar laughed triumphantly. He didnt feel any negative feedback pulsing off the girl and that was enough. Flight would be magnificent for someone who had never experienced it before but first he would give her a chance to prod and poke about with his sleek black wings.

in a graceful movement he bowed his dark glowing wings and looked up with bright burning eyes. Full of excitment and a wicked gleam. He held out he hand for her to grab and his grin turned demonic. His golden eye flared with a poten glow of power but with a slow blink it was gone. The thill of flight left him tingling from the inside out.

Erika smiled shyly and took his pale hand. 'This is a day I will remember and tell those who I meet for the rest of my life.' She told him.

Ariela jumped silently off the tree that she was perched in. How could he! How could he like a human instead of me! She clenched her fists and let the rage rise through her. In a matter of seconds she was in cat form, ready to pounce.

Kar turned and drew Erika towards him. Allowing her to mold into his side. "Oh, don't worry there will be no words to discribe this." he whispered and crouched slightly. Ready to take flight.

'Alright.' Erika told him. Her heart thudded in her chest and for the first time in weeks she smiled her fullest.

Ariela watched the two. She scowled in her cat like form and darted away into the darkness.

Kar beat his wings and cocked hishead as the patter of feet darted off into the forest and sighed heartily. His wrapped his arms round her and pushed off from the ground. Lifting off from a stand still and hovering a few moments before steeking off up into the heavens.

Erika looked around her, realizing her mouth was open in surprise. She shut it quickly, embarrassed, hoping that he hadn't noticed.
'If you knew about my birth, then did you know my parents, Lord Rupert, and Lady Eora? And what about my brother, Leim, he would've been three at the time?' She asked loudly through the wind.

"I did. I knew your father though you mother not as well. I only saw your brother a mear three times and then that wasn't for very long." His wings beat slowly, feeling the drift of the current and his feather bristling in the wind. "Tell me if you are feeling nauseous." He told her.

Erika sighed. 'No this is fine...My mother hid away when most people came to visit. She stayed upstairs with me, so I wouldn't feel alone...' Erika lapsed into silence. After a few minutes she said, 'I was told that I would find someone who would help me find what I needed. I asked the pretty shifter if she knew, expecting her to, but she did not... I guess the fortune teller was a fake...'
