Forever
Nydia - Part 1
The streets of Albiden were deserted. Nydia pulled her gray cloak hood over her pale face. The sun was setting and the young girl ran along the quiet alleyways. Nydia had no parents that she could remember, and no one cared for her, many pitied the homeless, scavenging girl. Through the years, Nydia had not aged like the other street children, they were middle aged men and women now, while she looked no more than the age of ten. She had never wondered about this before, but once she had shown her arm to an old lady who had given her a loaf of bread. The lady and many around her had given Nydia a scared but dirty look, and had run off back to their houses. On her arm lay a black mark, a mark that never washed off. It looked like a pendant, that rich ladies wore, with their frilly dresses.
Many would say that Nydia was beautiful. She had a face that was one that was not common, but bypassed pretty. One day, after walking the streets, Nydia noticed a boy that was watching her. He had longish blond hair, lightly tanned and freckled skin, and hazel eyes. Nydia liked this face, so she edged over through the crowed towards him. He smiled as she approached.
'My names Nicko. Whats yours?' He asked her grinning.
'Nydia. Why are you watchin' me?' She asked him confused, nobody had ever asked her name.
'Cause, I wan'ed to see what ya was up to.' Nicko told her seriously.
'Oh. But why?' She asked even more confused.
He laughed and whispered in her ear 'Cause ya one of the cursed. Like me.' He drew back his sleeve and showed a mark identical to hers. That was when they became friends.

Re: My Book - Forever
Through the years, Nydia and Nicko hid and learned in the streets of Albiden. They knew they were not normal, but were treated by people the same as any other child. But people grew suspicious. They realized that the two children were not aging.
'Were normal. Ain't we Nicko?' Nydia asked stubbornly.
'Yer. We don nofin' to ya. Why do ya suspect?' Nicko asked the man.
''Cause ya don't age. Why? Leave here!' He told them and pulled out his heavy axe.
Nydia took Nicko's hand and they sprinted away.
'Where shall we go?' She asked him.
'Nearer to the castle. There's more decent folk there. Then were cross the border in a few years...'
'But I don't want to leave. Why did they treat us nice before?'
''Cause there scared.' He told her.
After many years of traveling around the country, they came to the town containing the Albiden castle. They had discovered that Nicko looked old enough maybe 14, to work in one of the pubs. Nydia still looked too young, but Nicko promised that he would still look after her. So during Nicko's work hours, Nydia spent her time in a small wood near to the town. One day she even heard the rattle of a large heavy cart coming along the road in the wood. Going the wrong way she thought and jumped off the tree onto the road about 5 metres away from the cart.

As the big cart drew nearer she could hear voices. A Tall white haired man stood up and lent off the side to speak to her as the cart slowed.
'Ah hello there. Could you direct us to the town of Amble? My son said it was this way, but I've seen so many carts and horses coming from the opposite direction.' He asked Nydia speaking to her as if she was a full grown woman.
'Oh. Well ya are going the right way. But ya've missed the Autumn market...' She told him.
'Autumn market? We were just moving here you see.'
'Oh I'm sorry. I fought ya was comin' to trade.' She said embarrassed.
'See Pa.' Said a boy who had just poked his head out of the cart. 'I told you so. They all talk the same.'
'Rupert please.' The older man started to say.
'But they do Pa. Even someone like her. They all talk funny.' The boy Rupert said.
'Excuse mae?' Nydia asked him.
The boy grinned and pulled his head back through.
'I am very sorry about my son. He has some very crazy ideas.' The boys father told her before saying 'Do you want a lift into Amble?'
'Mae? Ya askin' mae?' He nodded. 'Fanks!' Nydia said before climbing in after the man.
As Nydia entered the cart she saw many beautiful instruments hanging from the wall. She sat down at the back being careful not to touch them.
'Whats your name?' The white haired man asked her.
'Nydia. Ya?' She asked.
'My names Kent. These are my two sons Rupert and Edward, and my niece Karla.' Kent pointed to them as he spoke. 'Do you have any family Nydia?'
'I have a brover called Nicko.' She told them. 'He works in the Amble pub, near the cen'er of town.'

Re: My Book - Forever
'What about your parents?' Kent asked Nydia.
'Dunno. Never knew 'em.' She told him.
'Oh how awful. I am truly sorry. Rupert and Edward lost their mother just a few months ago.' He told her sadly.
They sat in silence for awhile, until Karla broke it by saying 'Where do you live Nydia?'
Nydia looked up. 'Nowhere. I don't 'ave a home. Nicko lives above the Amble pub, but there wasn' enough room for mae.'
Kent said suddenly 'Why don't you come and live with us? There's more than enough room. You could start work here with the instruments.'
Nydia looked up with surprise 'Are ya sure?' Kent nodded and she smiled brightly. 'Fanks!' The cart stopped and they all got out. Nydia found herself outside a large cottage. She gawped and looked it up and down. Wow. She mouthed. Karla laughed kindly and pushed her inside. Nydia realized that Karla looked about her age, and the two boys just slightly older. Another boy appeared and shook hands with the blushing Nydia
'Matthew.' He told her'.
'Nydia.' She told him very embarrassed. He was very good looking, with long brunette floppy hair and blue eyes.
During the next year, Nydia learned the techniques of instrument playing and making. On her birthday she was given a beautiful guitar from her friends, who had become her family. Nydia rarely had time to see Nicko, she realized this, so took a day off to visit him. As she entered the pub she saw Nicko at the counter looking very bored. 'Hey!' She called across the room. He jumped and they smiled.
'Haven't seen ya for ages! Where have ya been?' He said hugging her.
'I got work, as a musician!' She told him happily.
'What do ya play? And whats up with ya accent?' Nicko asked letting go.
'Oh, well I play mostly guitar. What do you mean?' She asked confused.
'Ya sound different!' He told her.
'Really? Oh well.'
'Yeah. I play piano, we hav' one here at the pub. I kinda learnt it in mae free time.' Nicko told her excitedly.
'Really? Show me!' Nydia asked. He walked over to a large old piano, and started to play. Nydia said after he had finished 'That was really good!' She picked up her guitar that she had left at the bar, and joined in.
